SIETAR UK, in collaboration with SIG Migration and SIETAR Switzerland, invite you to join our 1-hour online session for an engaging dive into a real-life intercultural case. We are especially keen to discuss cases of great complexities (e.g., culture x SES x trauma) that cannot be addressed with an ‘easy fix.’
We welcome trainers, practitioners, volunteers, and anyone who works with/interested in supporting those who work with people who seek asylum and refugees across Europe.
Together, we will connect with peers, explore real‑life cases, and exchange practical approaches for navigating intercultural challenges related to migration.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
📌 Meet & Set the Scene – brief introductions and presentation of the case
📌 Interpret & Analyse – look at the situation through different layers
📌 Discuss & Co‑Create Solutions – explore multiple possible ways forward.
JOIN US – the SIG co‑chairs Dr Paula NESTEA and Dr Katharina Addington-Lefringhausen to reflect, learn, and strengthen the support we offer to volunteers, professionals, and newly arrived migrants.
