This session shares a duo-ethnographic research study of two international education leaders as they collaborate on an international program between Switzerland and Canada. Findings reveal the nuances of intercultural relationships in relation to collaborative leadership in a boundaryless world.
About the presenters :
Dr. Mary Gene Saudelli is the Associate Dean of the Faculty of Professional Studies at the University of the Fraser Valley, BC, Canada. She has lived, studied, and worked in Istanbul, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, Qatar and Canada. She has realized the salient learning that comes from leaving your comfort zone and embracing a new life, in different contexts.
Prof. Jillaine Farrar is vice-president SIETAR Switzerland. In addition to the Canadian and Swiss cultures, she has had the privilege to interact with many cultures thanks to her positions as Head of the Exchange Program, lecturer in the taught-in-English degree programs, and Co-Head CAS International Leadership at the Institute of Business and Regional Economics, a part of Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts – School of Business.
